Phasmophobia is a 4 player co-op psychological horror game which is available in VR and non-VR. Once you get into the game, you will be totally immersed in it and that is what elevates the spook factor. Currently it is in early access for PC players but if you have VR equipment, here’s how to play Phasmophobia in VR.
Phasmophobia VR: How to Play
By playing Phasmophobia in VR, things can get too real for you so be ready to feel the creeps. You can use the VR headsets of HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Valve Index and Windows Mixed Reality. To change the VR settings, open up the game and check them inside Options on the whiteboard. You can even play with a controller while wearing your headset.
With motion controllers you can stand and control your character as you navigate through haunted locations. Make sure to dedicate a room for this experience though because you will have to move around quite a bit. Plus, it’s a horror game that is going to have jumpscares or scary moments. Hence, remember to clear out the room and avoid any fragile objects that you might knock over while you are screaming your lungs out.
Can VR users play with Non VR players?
If you are wondering if you can play a game with your friends who don’t have a VR headset, you will be happy to know the answer. Fortunately, you can play online with your Non-VR or VR friends easily. There’s no compulsion that everyone has to be playing with a VR set – crossplay is available. If you want, you can join a public lobby as well. But do remember that there are slight changes for VR and Non-VR users. For example, VR users can hold 4 items at a time and Non-VR users can hold only 3.
