In Minecraft, a villager will evolve from a baby into an adult in 20 minutes. This would mean that after the breeding process is complete and a pair of villagers are successful in producing a baby villager, it will only take a short amount of time before this villager grows up into an adult.

However, keep in mind that if you are not present near the baby villager, it will either take a lot of time to grow or will stop growing altogether. As a result, you will not be able to go far away from this villager, once it is born, especially if you want it to grow at its normal pace.

Here’s the complete distribution of time, with regards to the time taken by a baby villager to grow up into an adult villager:

  • Initial stage = 2-3 mins
  • Mid-stage = 8-10 mins
  • Final stage = 15-20 mins
