According to me, the answer to this question really depends upon you. If you are following the paths of a noble character, then you can help Gandrel for the sake of justice. On the other hand, you can also save Astarion by misleading Gandrel because he’s your teammate. If you are still confused about making a single choice, then I suggest you mislead the hunter. That’s because Astarion will eventually face justice in later parts of the game.
