Diablo Immortal features a wide range of dungeons to grind for an endless supply of rewards. While some of these dungeons are repetitive, some like Zone Events spawn only during a specific time. Helliquary is one of the dungeons that is unlocked later in the game. Unlike the dungeons and Elder Rifts, you need seven friends for these raids. At the end of these raids, you face intensely challenging bosses. But how to unlock these raids? Check out our guide that explains the Helliquary raid and how to unlock them in Diablo Immortal.
What is Helliquary Raid in Diablo Immortal
As mentioned earlier, these raids need a squad of eight players to complete. You could have an overpowered build but defeating the Helliquary boss is no easy feat.
Once you defeat a Helliquary Raid boss, you can claim two major rewards. After you bring down the bosses, you can collect the legendary items, gems, and other resources from their dropped chests.
For the second reward, you can unlock some of the permanent buffs. Here’s how to get these buffs:
- Head over to the basement of Cain’s Workshop to talk to NPC Rayek, in Westmarch.
- Upon talking with Rayek, open the HUD and select the Helliquary option.
- Then, click on the Wrathborne Helliquary option to see the buffs you have received.
- While you receive permanent buffs, you can socket them for Challenge Rifts.
- In addition to that, you can also upgrade them for increased buffs.
Now that we know what riches these Raids wield, let’s look at how to unlock them.
How to Unlock Helliquary Raids?
- You can unlock the Helliquary raids as you reach level 36 or above.
- Once you unlock the raids, you need to talk to Rayoc.
- You will be introduced to this NPC by the Deckard Cain at Cain’s Workshop.
- As you talk with Cain, you will trigger the Opening the Helliquary questline.
- Upon progressing this questline, you will encounter the first Helliquary raid’s mini-boss, Chaos Herald Pyl.
- While the other raids require other players, you can fight and defeat this boss solo.
- Then, head over to the Einfrinn tree to encounter Lassal, the Flame Spun. He is the second Helliquary Raid boss that you will encounter.
- This fight can be more challenging as the boss fight features four different combat phases. You can invite your friends or other players to beat him.

Once you defeat him, you can unlock the Helliquary Raids and upgrade them.
How to Upgrade Helliquary Raid with Scoria in Diablo Immortal
- In addition to the rewards, you get Scoria for defeating the bosses in the raids.
- As you collect the Scoria, get to a Blacksmith in the Westmarch to refine them.
- Then, you can use the Hellfire Scoria to upgrade the Helliquary raids for more challenging boss fights.
- But the more challenging they are, the greater rewards you will get.
