V Rising is a Survival Action-Adventure game with Multiplayer. In this game, you play as a weakened Vampire who woke up from slumber. Now you must gather resources, battle foes, & build up your Castle and Army. There is a multitude of resources that you will need, especially for your Castle. Your Castle will need a Castle Heart that keeps ticking. If it stops, your Castle will start to Decay. Blood Essence is what is used to fuel Castle Hearts. But you can craft this into a rarer resource, the Greater Blood Essence. In this guide, I will show you how to get Blood Essence & Greater Blood Essence in V Rising.
How to Get Greater Blood Essence & Blood Essence in V Rising
Both Blood Essence & Greater Blood Essence in V Rising are farmable resources. To get Blood Essence, all you need to do is to drink the blood of any enemy. Although there is an exception of Golems & Skeletons as they do not have the Crimson Ichor flowing in them. When you get an enemy low enough in health, you will get the option of Feed. Click on it and you will get a Blood Essence for it. Now getting Greater Blood Essence is a different story. To get them, you will need Unsullied Hearts. Check out our guide on Unsullied Hearts on how to get them. Once you have enough, at least 4, you will be able to craft a Greater Blood Essence. To do this, you will need a Blood Press which you make with Wood & Stone.
Place the Blood Press down and you will be able to convert 4 Unsullied Hearts into one Greater Blood Essence. Later on in the game, you will be able to convert 200 Blood Essence into one Greater Blood Essence. You will need to beat Tristan the Vampire Hunter who is a level 46 Boss. He will drop the recipe and you will be able to get more Greater Blood Essences efficiently. Greater Blood Essence is used for many things from building, to unlocking sealed knowledge, & to converting Humans into Obedient Servants.
