Tomorrow, Ghost of Tsushima will be released exclusively for PlayStation 4. As can be seen from detailed performance analysis, owners of a PS4 Pro will also have to come to terms with a display in 30FPS.
The analysis from Digital Foundry shows that Ghost of Tsushima on the PlayStation 4 Pro has two display modes. While the quality mode offers a resolution of 3200 x 1800 screen points (via checkerboard), the performance mode brings it to native 1080p. A display in 60 frames per second should not be expected in either mode.
In quality mode, the refresh rate is between 27FPS and 30FPS. In performance mode, however, it is stable at 30 frames per second. The editors of Digital Foundry still recommend quality mode to owners of a 4K screen, since the drops in the refresh rate are hardly noticeable in practice. The analysis praised the fact that the developers of Sucker Punch managed to create a varied and coherent game world.
In addition to the excellent implementation of the lighting effects, it is above all the fluid day-night cycle, the management of the clouds, and the weather and wind dynamics that create an extraordinarily dense atmosphere in the world of Ghost of Tsushima.
The character models and animations can also convince, according to Digital Foundry. Even if they do not stand up to a direct comparison with The Last of Us Part 2 published a few weeks ago.

Ghost of Tsushima will release on Friday, July 17, 2020, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
