Yarn in Black Myth: Wukong is an armor-crafting material that you will need to upgrade your character. It can be obtained from enemies but there are some other ways to get it as well. This quick guide will help you find this resource, which will come in handy to craft the armor sets of Bronze, Ebongold, Galeguard, Pilgrim, and Serpentscale.
Where to Find Yarn in Black Myth: Wukong
The best way to get Yarn is to farm enemies for drops. When you rest at a Shrine, the enemies will respawn so if you end up in a location where you received Yarn, reset it at a nearby Shrine and go again. Elite enemies are bound to drop this material more often.
For example, if you go to the Bamboo Grove > Snake Trail shrine, climb the stairs, turn left, and cross the bridge, you’ll find Skeletal Snakes that will drop Yarn. They can be found in Chapter 1’s Black Wind Mountain region. Apart from this, you can farm enemies that drop this material in Chapter 2’s Yellow Wind Ridge area too.
In case you urgently need one and have enough Will to buy it, go to a Shrine, open up the Store, and buy x4 at the cost of 300 Yarn.
If you’ve unlocked Yin Tiger, you can buy it from him as well! Aside from this resource, you will also need Silk and Cold Iron Leaves, and our linked guides will help you collect these materials.
Lastly, exploring the world and opening chests may also provide Yarn at random.
How to Use Yarn
Once you have the amount you need, visit a Keeper’s Shrine and go to the Craft Armor tab. You will see different armor pieces – select the one you want to equip and hold E to Craft. That’s it!
Now that you’ve crafted new armor, be sure to get more powerful weapons as well. Here’s how to craft the Mythical Golden Loong Staff, Chu-Bai Spear, and how to get the Third Curio slot unlocked as well.
