Chu-Bai Spear is an Epic staff in Black Myth Wukong that can be crafted after defeating some bosses and collecting their Spirits. Since there’s a lot of traveling you have to do for this questline, it can get a little confusing. Here’s the process you need to follow to get the reward of the Chubai Spearhead which helps you craft the Spear.
How to Unlock the Chu-Bai Spear in Black Myth: Wukong
As you play the main story quests, you will reach Pagoda Realm. This is where you will get the frustrating max health debuff and find doors locked with a purple seal. Make sure to get rid of the curse otherwise this region is going to be significantly tougher. To remove this debuff, defeat Captain Wise-Voice— here’s our video to know how the boss fight will unfold. Be warned, he uses a lot of projectiles.
After this, your goal is to locate and defeat Captain Lotus-Vision and collect the Spirit of Captain Lotus-Vision from him.
Beating this boss will help you unlock doors with a purple seal and this is important because the prisoner who drops the reward is sitting right behind one such gate.
Go to the prisoner and use the spirit to unlock the cell. This will begin the next part of the quest where you must retrieve Spirits from 4 Captains. At this point, two are already defeated. The four captains to grab Spirits from are Captain Lotus-Vision, Captain Wise-Voice, Captain Void-Illusion, and Captain Kalpa-Wave.
Void-Illusion in Valley of Ecstasy is already defeated so you only have to absorb its spirit.
The Kalpa-Wave boss, though, needs to be defeated and will be present near the New Thunderclap Temple’s entrance that you can reach from the Longevity Road Keeper’s Shrine.
When you talk to the prisoner after collecting the final spirit, you will get the Chubai Spearhead from him.
Crafting the Spear
Now, to craft Chu-Bai Spear in Black Myth: Wukong, you need to interact with a Shrine, go to the Crafting section, and choose Weapon. The required materials are x1 Chubai Spearhead, x4 Refined Iron Sand, 21,000 Will, and x8 Yaoguai Core. If you have enough materials, you can craft the secret weapon for The Destined One.
