In Chapter 3 of Black Myth: Wukong, you will get an unfortunate and recurring health debuff while navigating the Pagoda Realm as you come across Lantern Wardens. There are 9 of these enemies and they will only be visible during the cursed moments (the screen changes to indicate that you’re afflicted). This curse will lower your max health, and give everyone red eyes, making your life much harder in the game.
So, how do you get rid of it? Thankfully, there’s a way to disable this debuff, and similar to opening the purple seal doors, it can be done by defeating a certain boss.
How to Remove the Pagoda Realm Curse in Black Myth: Wukong
- Travel to the Lower Pagoda Keeper’s Shrine location in the Pagoda Realm.
- From here, make your way to Upper Pagoda and then Mani Wheel. You can skip all the enemies you see along the way and keep running towards your destination. Make sure you have enough healing whenever you have to engage in combat, since it is a challenging area.
- At this location, cross the rock bridge and enter the cave where you will come across a boss fight against Captain Wise Voice. Here’s a video that will show you a way to beat this boss:
- Defeat him and the cursed health debuff should be removed from your character. All the remaining Lantern Wardens will disappear too.
