While exploring the world during Chapter 3 in Black Myth: Wukong, you may have seen the doors locked with a shiny purple seal on them, but there is no hint of how you can open them up. So, if you don’t want to skip this and want to collect the treasure behind the door, here’s how to open the purple seal doors.
How to Break Purple Seal and Open the Door in Black Myth: Wukong
To open the ‘purple circle’ door, head to the Upper Pagoda Keeper’s Shrine. You can get here from The New West > Pagoda Realm > Upper Pagoda.
Once you’re at the shrine, turn around and drop down onto a roof. You should be able to see the boss already. Drop down further to initiate the boss fight against Captain Lotus-Vision.
As you’ll notice, this boss has the same purple ‘aesthetic’ in his attacks that is present on the locks! Once you defeat this Yaoguai Chief and gather the drops of Frostsprout Twig, x2 Refined Iron Sand, Yaoguai Core, and Mind Core. He will also drop The Spirit of Captain Lotus-Vision. After this, all the doors will automatically open up for you to collect the treasures behind them in Chapter 3.
Defeating the Captain Lotus-Vision boss
If you’re having some difficulty beating the Captain Lotus-Vision boss, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- This boss will unleash plenty of projectile attacks and your best bet is to repeatedly dodge them as much as you can. Don’t forget to use the Staff Spin to deflect these lasers.
- As soon as you find a moment where he’s not attacking, get close to him, stun, and land multiple attacks to deal high damage.
- Try to stay behind Captain Lotus-Vision, as his attacks tend to be aimed in front of him.
- Transformations can be very helpful in this fight. The Red Tides transformation is particularly effective against Captain Lotus-Vision, as it allows you to deal damage while being invulnerable.
- There are petrified monks in the surroundings and they can come alive at any point. Taking them out should be fairly easy.
- The boss will keep teleporting and chasing him while dodging attacks can be challenging. This fight is all about mobility and timing, so it may take a few attempts to get a hang of it.
- Cloud Step and Immobilize will help you during this battle.
