The Nurture Ring in Super Mario RPG is one of the unique items you will come across while going through your campaign. The ring also known as B’tub Ring in the previous iteration of the game, negates half the damage done by elemental attacks. This is especially useful as you will find enemy spells to be quite frustrating to deal with.
There is one more special use of the Nurture Ring that you should be aware of in Super Mario RPG if you have the mystery egg at your disposal. The game doesn’t directly inform you of the uses of all the items which can be tricky figuring out while playing. So if you are wondering where you will come across the ring and how to use it, then here is a guide you should check out.
Where to Find Nurture Ring in Super Mario RPG
Players can get their hands on the Nurture Ring in the Marrymore Hotel in Super Mario RPG. You will come across the town of Marrymore while on your quest to collect the fourth star piece in the game. The Marrymore Hotel will be located on the left of the town and is easily identifiable because of the Star & Mushroom signs at the doorstep.
Once you come across the hotel, you can head inside and interact with Toad behind the counter in the game. Players will be able to purchase the Nurture Ring for around 145 Coins in Super Mario RPG.
How to Use Nurture Ring?
Players can equip the Nurture Ring to Peach and while it won’t show any changes to the current stats, the effect will be toggled on automatically. It will negate half the damage done by elemental attacks from different enemies you encounter. Since the enemy spells can be frustrating due to the elemental damage done the ring can turn out useful in certain situations.
One of the special uses of the Nurture Ring in Super Mario RPG is that it can be used to hatch the Mystery Egg you get from the Treasure Hunting Toad in Moleville. However, you will have to first equip the ring on Princess Peach and use the Mystery Egg 10 times in battles.
Once done, the egg will hatch into Lamb’s Lure which can turn enemies that you come across into sheep. And while you might not get any coins or experience using the item, it can come in handy when you don’t have any options left at your disposal. It is worth mentioning that you won’t be able to use items against bosses or special enemies in Super Mario RPG.
