Kevin AlmeidaBy Kevin AlmeidaDecember 28, 20222 Mins Read

Slowking is the Gen 2 Pokemon Water and Psychic-type Pokemon that is available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Although it is very slow-moving, players choose this Pokemon for its good HP, Special Defence, and Special Attack Stats for beginner combats. It possesses special abilities like Oblivious, which are considered average abilities when it comes to combat. Still, it proves to be better than any other starting Pokemons in the game. To know how to get Slowking in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, this guide will help you.

How to Obtain Slowking in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?

To get Slowking, you will need to evolve Slowpoke. To evolve Slowpoke into Slowking, you will need to give Slowpoke King’s Rock to hold first. King’s Rock is found randomly in the Paldea region. You can purchase it from Delibird Presents Store after earning 4 Gym Badges for 10,000 Pokedollars or League Points once your Slowpoke holds the King’s Rock, trade it to your friend by opening your Poke Portal then trade it back. After trading back, you will receive Slowking instead of Slowpoke because as soon as you trade Slowpoke, it evolves into Slowking. Also, players should know that Slowpoke will evolve into Slowbro at level 37  due to the split evolution lineage. Therefore, we advise you to evolve your Slowpoke before it reaches level 37.

Commonly you can spot Slowpoke nearby Casserorya Lake. Also, you can encounter them, commonly nearby any water spot as per their natural habitat. To catch them, you can use a common Pokeball after weakening them. The best evolution of Slowpoke is Slowking because of the high base stats that will prove beneficial in the battle.
