If you want to make your gun look amazing with unique skins, you can do it with the help of camos. The Mastery Camo set includes the Gold, Polyatomic, Orion as well as Platinum Camos that you can unlock for your weapon in COD MW2 and this guide will show you how to unlock and get the shiny silver skin.
How to Unlock Platinum Camo in COD MW2
If you are not sure how to go about the journey to the Platinum Mastery camo in COD Modern Warfare, here are the steps to follow:
- Choose a weapon for which you want to unlock the Platinum camo. Let’s take the M4 Assault Rifle for example.
- First, you need to unlock the Gold Camo for it. And for that, you need to level up the weapon, unlock Base Camo challenges, complete them and when you are done with all 4, the Gold Camo challenge will unlock. Go ahead and complete it to earn the Gold camo skin for your M4.
- Now do this for every other gun in that weapon class – the Assault Rifle class in this example.
- Once you unlock the Gold Camo for every weapon in a class, you can unlock the Platinum camo challenge in COD MW2.
- And when you complete that Platinum Mastery challenge, you will get the Platinum camo.
The Gold Camo challenges will be along the lines of:
- Getting a certain number of kills with the weapon.
- Getting kills while ADS.
- Getting Double kills.
- Getting kills from behind.
- Getting killstreaks without dying.
The Platinum challenge can be harder or more tedious. For example, for the Battle Rifle FTAC Recon, the objective is to get 25 Longshot kills with the weapon. Similarly, you have to get 25 Longshot kills with the SO-14 and so on. So, equip the gold mastery camo and start grinding for the Platinum.
Youtuber LegoUnlocked suggests that the best way to get these longshots is to play the Invasion mode. As he discovered, killing bots does not count for camo challenges.
