Planks in LEGO Fortnite are the earliest piece of crafting material that you will have your hands on while building your village. Most of your early builds and weapons would be carved from wood. While it might not seem much at the start, it will help you steadily create your village while also making quite a few upgrades available at the start.
However, before having wooden planks for any build you will need some necessary resources along with a specific working station in LEGO Fortnite. With all the crafting and building, it can get quite confusing to get your hands on even basic survival needs. How to Craft Planks in LEGO Fortnite
To craft and get planks in LEGO Fortnite, players will need to first build their own Lumber Mill. However, you will need its recipe which can be unlocked after having at least one Crafting Bench at your disposal in the game. Once you unlock the recipe, here are the items you will need to build the Lumber Mill:
- x8 Wood
- x15 Granite
Both of these resources can be harvested pretty early in LEGO Fortnite. We would suggest that you craft yourself decent equipment like an axe and pickaxe at first to get yourself the necessary resources.
Once you have enough resources, simply open the build menu by pressing the Q key on the keyboard or the B Button & O Button on the Xbox and PlayStation Controller respectively.
After which you can place the Lumber Mill at any desired location. You can then interact with it, to craft some wooden planks in LEGO Fortnite. The recipe for the planks would be available for players from the get-go. However, you will need to complete certain objectives to get more recipes in the game. Simply select the Plank recipe from the list of options available and hit the Assign Recipe option.
