In the Liffey region of Fontaine in Genshin Impact, there exists a prison known as Fortress of Meropide. No matter if you are looking to complete the Archon Quests in Chapter IV, or do some Story or World quests, you will need access to this area. So if you aren’t sure where to enter it from, here is how you can get into the Fortress.
How to Get Inside the Fortress of Meropide in Genshin Impact
There are multiple ways through which you can enter the Fortress, but for now, let us check the two easiest ones:
- Through Chapter 4 Act 3 Archon quest progression
- Show up in front of the Prison Searchlights
Through Chapter 4 Act 3 Archon quest
In this method, you need to start the third act of the Chapter IV Archon quest. This act is called “To the Stars Shining in the Depths”. This Act has 4 quests and these are:
- A Tea Party Most Thorny
- Fortress of Meropide
- The Proscribed, Hidden in Plain Sight
- Lost in Deep Seas
During this Act, Traveler and Paimon get arrested as Childe has gone missing and the two have had past connections with him. In this act, Neuvillette arranges false charges against Traveler and Paimon to get them into prison. This will allow them to conduct their investigation.
Show up in front of the Prison Searchlights
This is an easy method as you need to swim underwater and up to the Fortress of Meropide. Make sure to get in front of the Searchlights so that they can detect you. Once you get caught you have a 5-second timer to escape. Stay there instead of escaping. The guards will arrest you and take you inside the Fortress of Meropide.
