Guns are powerful weapons in the game that you can unlock after the Justifiable Zombicide quest. Although you won’t be able to get them at the start, a few quests later, you will start having the option for different ranged weapons.
How to Unlock Guns in Dead Island 2
The first gun will unlock after you defeat Nikki Gutte, the Screaming boss in Justifiable Zombicide. Once you finish this boss fight, you will meet up with Sam B who will provide you with the Sporting Rifle, the first gun in the game. After that, you can find guns lying around in places in Dead Island 2. Now that you have faced your first screamer zombie, you can also go for the Curtis Safe Key.

While you can get more than one gun in the game, do remember that the ammo is in shortage. Hence, if you have an itchy trigger finger, you will need to keep it in check. Pick up as many ammo as you can find while exploring the different regions in Dead Island 2.
