Like many of the unlockable things in this game, a Golden Weapon, which is a special variant of the existing default weapons, needs to be unlocked. As mentioned earlier, you will have to grind really hard in the Ranked matches so that you can get your hands on the Golden Weapons. To be more precise, a total of 3000 Competitive Points are required to unlock Golden Weapon in Overwatch 2. As the name suggests itself, Competitive Points are earned by completing challenges in Competitive Play matches.

Further, you get Competitive Points at the end of the Season which lasts for 9 weeks. You get the following Points based on your performance ranking at the end of Season 1:

Top 500 Ranks You get a total of 1750 Competitive Points
Grandmaster You get a total of 1750 Competitive Points
Master You get a total of 1200 Competitive Points
Diamond You get a total of 750 Competitive Points

Silver You get a total of 125 Competitive Points
Bronze You get a total of 65 Competitive Points
