There are numerous collectibles, mysteries, weapons, and more waiting for you in Baldur’s Gate 3. With three major acts and a vast storyline, you are bound to find something sooner or later that is quite useful. One such item that has caught the attention of players is the Bloodthirst Dagger in BG3. While it won’t come easy, the dagger has some pretty useful stats that players will ultimately find handy.
Bloodthirst is quite recommended to rogues due to its strong damage. You probably would not find another dual-wielded light weapon that provides critical stat increases, a Divination cantrip, and the ability to exploit weaknesses in enemies apart from this one. If you are confused about how to get it, our guide has explained everything for you right here.
How to Get Bloodthirst Dagger in BG3
For the Bloodthirst Dagger in BG3, players will have to head to the Bhaal temple in Act 3 and then battle Orin. Orin, a malicious shapeshifter and devoted to the Lord of Murder, Bhaal, is the current wielder and owner of the legendary Bloodthirst dagger. Players will eventually fight her in the Bhaal temple during “Get Orin’s Netherstone.”
However, there is something that players will need to watch out for while they try to get the dagger. While fighting with the players, Orin doesn’t actually use Bloodthirst since she wields Crimson Mischief, a short sword, and Blade of the First Blood, a dagger that looks identical to Bloodthirst. So, if players are to get the Bloodthirst dagger, don’t loot her body before ending the fight. The dagger will remain unchanged and Bloodthirst will then become unobtainable.
The dagger becomes Bloodthirst when looting Orin’s body after the fight is over. You will also get the Crimson Mischief and pairing it with Bloodthirst brings out the best output. The following are some of the stats that you will get with the Bloodthirst Dagger in BG3:
- Improved Critical – The number you need to roll a Critical Hit while attacking is reduced by 1. This effect can stack.
- Weapon Enchantment – +2
- Grants True Strike (Divination Cantrip)
- Exploit Weakness – Creatures hit with this weapon receive Vulnerability to Piercing damage.
- True Strike Riposte – When a creature misses you with a melee attack, you may retaliate and gain True Strike.
- Armour Class – +1
