Once players have the Rune, they will be able to use it activate the console that lies to the right of her pod. Once the console activates, players need to place their hands upon it and then choose the dialogues that will save the woman in the pod in BG3. Do note that if you are the Wizard or Warlock class, you won’t have to collect the Elaborate Key or the Eldritch Rune to free the elven woman.
How to Get the Eldritch Rune in BG3
Here’s how players can get the Elaborate Key and use it to get the Eldritch Rune in Baldur’s Gate 3:
- From the room in which players find the woman in the pod, they need to head through the door on the east side.
- Keep heading east while following this path and you will find a Dead Thrall.
- Once players interact with the Dead Thrall, they will get the Elaborate Key that they need to bring back to the room where Shadowheart is stuck.
- If you look towards the southeast corner of this room, there is an Elaborate Reliquary chest that can be opened with the Elaborate Key.
- Now, you can get the Eldritch Rune that you need to use on the console to save Shadowheart in Baldur’s Gate 3.
How to Free Shadowheart without Eldritch Rune
To save Shadowheart without the Eldritch Rune in BG3, you will have to be a Wizard or a Warlock. These two classes have the skill and ability to sense the magic that is holding the elven woman in the pod. Simply interact with the control panel and pass the seven skill check. After that, they will go through class specific dialogues and once you answer correctly, you can place your hand on the pod and free the woman in the pod.
Should you Free Shadowheart in Baldur’s Gate 3?
Yes, players should save Shadowheart in BG3. Although players are bound to have her as a party member, whether they do so or not, it’s best if players can get it done quickly. Once the Nautiloid crashes and you find her outside, you can select her as a party member.
