In Sonic Frontiers, you will have to explore the mysterious Starfall Islands and find ways to free your allies stuck in Cyberspace. However, you can interact with them when you are in that biome after you release them. They will guide you through that area and help you gain insight into the situation. In this article, we will tell you how to free Knuckles in Sonic Frontiers.

Use Memory Tokens to free Knuckles in Sonic frontiers

Knuckles the Echidna is Sonic’s iconic rival-turned-ally. He’s a fan-favorite character because of his bravery and selfless attitude. He prefers to be alone but he shows empathy to his allies. In Sonic Frontiers, you will find him entrapped on Ares Island. This is the second open-world biome after Kronos Island. You can unlock this biome by defeating Giganto, Kronos Island’s Titan.

After unlocking Ares Island, head over to the Red Knuckles icon to the South. There, you will find Knuckles entrapped in a cage similar to Amy’s. To release Knuckles in Sonic Frontiers, you will have to start collecting Memory Tokens. These tokens are different than the ones you collected for Amy. They have the appearance of medals and you need 30 Knuckles tokens to release Knuckles from his prison. There are various ways to obtain these tokens. You will find them atop or at the end of the rails. You can find them in Blue Treasure Chests strewn across the map. Defeating Guardians like the Shark can help you earn these tokens as well. Or you can just exchange them for Fishing Medals.
