The Red Drum can be found in Snowcap Island and you can reach this location via a boat. If you haven’t unlocked one already, the first one you can purchase from the Shipwright is a Surfboard. But, upon reaching level 10 and spending 6000C$, you will be able to purchase a motorboat for faster travel.
If you have a Fish Radar, catching the Red Drum will be easier because it will mark the exact area of abundance for you. You can buy it from Moosewood — it’s placed on a rock near the Shipwright.
