What’s Fischgiving without some Turkey in Fisch? Thankfully, the developers have added a way to celebrate the holiday by adding the limited ‘fish’ Turkey. It can have all the mutations (something special happens when you catch a Shiny) and it sells for a good price. So make sure you fish a lot of it before the event ends, however, the exact end date is not yet known.
Where to Catch the Turkey in Fisch
Start the Fischgiving event by talking to the Pilgrim NPC near the scoreboard in Moosewood. Select the option “Can you tell me about Fischgiving?” and continue with “Oh yeah? What is it?” and he will tell you about Turkeys in Fisch.
To catch the Limited Turkey, you need to fish anywhere in the game’s world. You might have a better chance with the Insect bait at any time and weather, during the Autumn season. If you don’t have Insect yet, buy multiple Bait Crates to have a chance of obtaining it. It can also be obtained from Common Crates that you’ve fished up.
Note that this ‘fish’ applies a -65% progress speed while reeling it in, making it a challenging catch. If you have a Steady rod, or have enchanted a rod with good Resilience and control, this should be easier for you. The Rod of the Depths, Trident, and Kings rod will also be useful.
When you hook it, you will see a blue exclamation point, indicating a Limited rarity fish, and you’ll hear a bell sound as well.
In case you end up catching a Turkey with the Shiny mutation, the Turkey will pop out with a top hat and a suit and tie! Remember to click on your catch because you’ll hear a unique gobble sound.
After you’ve collected Turkeys in Fisch, make sure to head to Ancient Archives to craft rods or obtain the Phoenix Rod and Megalodon in this update.
