There are three things that you can do which will help you find waypoints in D2R.
- Find Torches: Every Waypoint has 2 torches beside them. So whenever you are traversing, be sure to keep a keen eye out for them, as if you happen to spot one finding a waypoint might get easy. You may be near a waypoint and if you miss it then you’ll waste time finding it again.
The next two methods can be followed in either order.
- Follow Edges: This is a classic trick that many players use in dungeons. Basically, what you do is cover all the edges of the area, now there are two things that might happen. The first is you might stumble across a waypoint. And the second is you will know that the waypoint is somewhere in the middle and can start looking there.
- Follow main roads: One thing that is common in every map is them having a main road, which leads from the start to exit. And since it is the main road there is a good chance you may come across a waypoint.
