As you start Baldur’s Gate 3, you will quickly find yourself in need of a Shovel. Since the game won’t be clear on the location of this item, many players can’t dig out the valuable chests and treasure buried under the ground. Although players can find this item randomly in the world, there is a specific location in Act 1 where they will get this item. After getting off the Mindflayer ship and reaching the Overgrown Ruins, players will get the chance to find the item soon. In this guide, we will show you the exact location where you can get the Shovel in BG3 and get that buried treasure out.
How to Find a Shovel in Baldur’s Gate 3
Since you are looking for a Shovel in BG3, it’s likely that you have found a pile of dirt and want to dig it and get the treasure. After you reach the Overgrown Ruins, you will have to rescue Lae’zel who is being held captive. Players can find the Shovel west of where you find Lae’zel captured in Baldur’s Gate 3. The shovel will be sticking out of a dirt mound and it’s likely the first place in the game where you will find one.
Now that you have the Shovel, you can head into your BG3 inventory and use it to dig up loose piles of dirt for buried treasure. There are two early locations in the Overgrown Ruins where you can head on and dig for treasure. You will also find Shovel in other regions of Druid Grove and it will come in handy during the Act 1 of BG3. One of the important locations that come in mind is towards the north side of Blighted Village.
