The Game Awards 2023 might be one of the most challenging years to pick the five nominees for Player’ Voice Award. Now that the finalists for the category have just been revealed, and fans can cast their votes for their favorite game of the year. It’s been an incredible year for gaming and December 7 will finally bring to rest all discussions of which one was the best game this year.
The first half of the year saw titles like Hogwarts Legacy, Jedi: Survivor, Final Fantasy 16, Resident Evil 4, and Tears of the Kingdom. And if you thought this was peak, the second half brought Alan Wake 2, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and, Baldur’s Gate 3. Along with these, recurring titles like Genshin Impact also made the mark and showed why it’s at the top of its genre.
The Player’ Voice Award winner is decided by the votes of the fans and split into three rounds. Now that the finalists are revealed, you can head to the Game Awards website and vote for your favorite ones.
Who are the Final Five Nominees for Player’ Voice Award?
The final list for Player’ Voice Award at the Game Awards 2023 involves the following titles:
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty
- Genshin Impact
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Unsurprisingly, Baldur’s Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is right up there at the top. While Genshin Impact did not release in 2023, it’s major update has certainly left the mark necessary to get it into the top 5. Marvel’s Spider Man 2 is another expected addition to the list and last but not the least, Tears of the Kingdom has been an enjoyable journey for Zelda fans.
Although Game Awards 2023 should have a run time almost like 2022, we are unlikely to see incidents like last year with the kid crashing Elden Ring GOTY Speech.
