With the Growing Together expansion, a plethora of new content has been included in The Sims 4. Family Dynamics is one of the most recent game mechanics that has been added to the game. It drastically changes the in-game interaction system and the way you interact with your related Sims. But due to this newly added feature, several players are confused about how they work. As the name implies, Family Dynamics is a set of options that signify the bonds and relations between related Sims in Sims 4. You can change the Family Dynamics to create a simpler or more complicated playthrough. Your related Sims interact and behave with each other according to the Family Dynamics you have selected for them.
So, here are all the Family Dynamics options you can select from:
From the above Dynamics, you might have gotten the idea of this new Sims system. Once you have changed the Family dynamic of any particular Sim, it will change their social interactions. For example, if two of the Sims are Permissive, the younger one tends to be more demanding rather than the older one. A parent with a Permissive family dynamic will allow their child more freedom rather than a parent with a Strict dynamic.
You can change or configure a new Family dynamic by heading to Create-a-Sim (CAS) menu. Alternatively, you can also create and develop them as you progress.
