Being a normal-type Pokemon, Porygon is a part of a three-member family in Pokemon GO. That means you can evolve this Pokemon to Porygon2 and its final evolution to Porygon-Z by feeding enough candies. But before you do so, you must find a Porygon to complete its evolution. Like catching others, there is no fixed spawn rate or location for getting Porygon. But that said, there are two ways to catch this Pokemon.
So, check out our guide on how to get Poryon in Pokemon GO. In our guide, you can find out the best surefire ways to catch this normal-type Pokemon easily and how to evolve them. So, here’s everything you need to know.
How to Get Porygon in Pokemon GO
The best way to get a Porygon is by hatching a common 5 km egg. You will need to buy several egg incubators if you don’t have any. The chances of getting this Pokemon are relatively lesser at 5%. So, this process will require you to hatch multiple eggs. Note that this process is based on RNG, so have patience before you get a Porygon.
Secondly, you can also find Porygon in the wild in Pokemon GO. As confirmed by many players in the community, you can find them in multiple areas of administration, firms, or government bodies. To do so, you can head to a nearby company, local hospital, and courthouse to catch one. But as there is no fixed spawn point, it can take you some time-consuming foraging to find it.
How to Evolve Porygon to Porygon2
Once you find a Porygon, you can evolve it into Porygon2. Here are the following items you require for this evolution:
- 50 Porygon Candy
- 1 Upgrade item
While the upgrade is rare, you can get this item at various Pokestops. But that said, the chance for that is lesser than 1%. So, you can perform a 7-day Pokestop streak to get a guaranteed Evolution item.
How to Evolve Porygon2 to Porygon-Z
This evolution will have you occupied with finding and collecting another rare item. So, here are the following items required to evolve Porygon2 to Porygon-Z:
- 100 Porygon Candy
- Sinnoh Stone item
There are multiple ways to get the Sinnoh Stones. Even though these items are rarer than the evolution items, it’s not impossible to get them. You can get these Stones by completing Research tasks, defeating Gym trainers, and Rocket Leader from the Team GO.
