There are quite a handful of errors that you can get while playing The Finals. Another new one that players are getting is the error code TFMR0007 and they need a fix for it. This is one of the variants of the matchmaking failed issue. Surprisingly each of them has weirdly minor differences when it comes to the reason for why they happen or how they affect you. For example, in the case of this error, players can play Quick Cash, but not tournaments or Bank it.
Another similar error TFMR0002 happens most likely due to server issues. However, when it comes to the code TFMR0007, it seems to be region-locking people or banning them from tournaments. Worry not if you are facing this issue, here are some things that you can try to resolve this bug.
How to Solve the Error Code TFMR0007 in The Finals
- Check Server Status: There are all sorts of complaints on this Steam Thread from different players about it. But one thing that every player seems to speculate the reason for this error is, is the game’s servers not functioning properly. Check on their Twitter @reachthefinals if there is some maintenance ongoing or scheduled to update the game addressing this issue. If there is, then wait for them to fix it and try playing the game after they are done patching things.
In case the servers are working normally, then here are some other things that you can try:
- Change your Region: Since you can’t play ranked on your region you could try changing it from the settings. Open Settings and go to Gameplay, here you can switch your regions between North America, Europe, and Asia.
- Enable or Disable crossplay: Many players in the above Steam thread claim that turning on crossplay lets them get around this error. So if you have it disabled then you should enable crossplay and restart the game. On the other hand, if you had it enabled previously, then you could also try disabling it.
- Disable Razer Synapse: Another player on that thread commented that they saw a post of Razer Synapse flagging them for cheating or location banning them. So if you have it running in the background you should close it and then try playing the game. Do note that this method wasn’t as helpful and didn’t work for many players but it is still worth giving a try.
Hopefully, the above methods should have helped you fix the TFMR0007 error in The Finals. If the above methods don’t work then you can always try the generic fixes like restarting the game, verifying game files, and more.
Lastly, if you did everything but still couldn’t get it to work then it is best you contact the game’s Support. They should help you resolve this issue for good.
