A young guard will block your way as you reach the entrance of Kyovashad with Lorath. When you interact with Lorath, he will inform you that you must perform a cleansing ritual before entering the city. Although according to Lorath, it’s a meaningless ritual.

To enter Kyovashad, you must complete the Rite of Passage ritual in Diablo 4 by taking a holy cedar tablet, inscribing a sin on it, and burning it in the brazier. Your choice of sin will not affect your gameplay. You can scribble on the wood to enter the city by selecting any available options.

Once you get the inscribed cedar wood, go to the nearby brazier and toss the wood in it. Then, return to the guard, interact with him, and he will welcome you into Kyovashad. Then, you can find and talk to Lorath or complete Priority Quests to unlock new features and systems.
