Dinkum is a fun new Animal Crossing-esque game that players get to relax with. This game has players going out into the wild, capturing insects, raising farm animals, and more. Not only can you do all this but you can also mine all kinds of ores. One of the ores that lots of players are looking for in the game is opal. If you too want to know how to get opal in Dinkum then this is the guide for you.
How to Get Opal in Dinkum
You can get opal by checking out big boulders laying around in the forest area. Here, if you see a boulder that sparks when you click on it, it’ll most likely have opal when mined. Before that, you will need to get your mining license to use a basic or copper pickaxe. After that, you will need to prepare to take your time to mine the boulders. It does take a ton of hits before Opal can finally be collected, that is, roughly 60-70 hits with a basic pickaxe. You will then end up getting 4 Opal gemstones as a reward.
How to Mine and Get a Mining License in Dinkum
You will get your mining license at the start of the game in the first level itself. You can then buy it from Fletcher for 250 Permit points. Then, you can buy a basic pickaxe from John’s Goods store.
Most of the ores that you will be mining are the Tin ores and other rare Ingots. These can then be used to craft tons of other things.
To get a better pickaxe, you will need to get the Level 2 Mining license. You can then craft the Copper pickaxe on the crafting table instead of buying it. Do this by using 2 Copper bars and a basic pickaxe. This will help you mine faster in the game. As you get better and acquire more Permit points in the game, you will get better pickaxes as well.
