How to Defeat Morbol in Final Fantasy 16
Before you set out to face the Morbol, you must unlock different Abilities with the Ability Points that you have collected. Out of them, the Charged Magic and Lunge ability can help you defeat the Morbol easily in Final Fantasy 16. While Charged Magic can be used to increase the potency of your spells, the Lunge ability will help you swiftly close in to attack Morbol. Since the boss fight with Morbol in FF16 will have two Phases, here are some tips on how to beat the boss.
Phase 1
One thing to remember is that the Morbol excels in inflicting melee and ranged damage. So, your best bet is to always keep moving and evade Morbol’s attacks. The Morbol’s Bad Breath attack can deal damage to Clive as well as stagger him. So, as soon as you see the Morbol preparing the attack, move toward its back and start attacking. During the first phase, you will also be introduced to a new game mechanic called the Cinematic Strike. This will stagger the Morbol, giving you more time to land your attacks. As the legendary creature reaches 50% of its HP, the fight will move to Phase 2.

Phase 2
In the second and final phase, the Morbol will become more aggressive and start using new attacks. Do your best to avoid the AoE attacks that the boss throws at you. At one stage, you will learn about a new mechanic that can be used in FF16. This is known as the Cinematic Evasion technique allows Clive to steer clear of the Morbol’s attack. As the boss will be staggered again, keep dealing damage to him along with your gang. Keep using your Charged Magic and Lunge abilities and you will be able to defeat the Morbol in FF16 in no time.
