The Packmaster Class in Dead Rails comes at a price of 35 Bonds making it quite affordable and as the name suggests, you can have your very own pack…of wolves. Here’s everything you need to know about this new class and some strategies that can be used with it.
What is the Packmaster Class in Dead Rails?
The Packmaster Class spawns with 3 tamed wolves but that’s not all. This class can tame any wolf that attacks them as well. So you can create an army of wolves against enemies to go aggressive or protect yourself while you plan your next move. This will come in especially handy while you’re raiding an Outlaw Town or if you encounter them in the wild. Note that you cannot tame a werewolf this way.
You start with x1 shovel in terms of weapons, but you can collect money to unlock firearms for ranged attacks. If you’re not planning on using your wolf pack during a certain section of the run, you can store them in your sack.
In case you decide to weld them to the train and enemies end up climbing it, they will get attacked. Ensure that they are stored if you’re planning to tame a horse previously owned by an Outlaw, because if your wolf sees it, the horse will get attacked as well.
One of the best ways to use the wolves is to distract enemies like the Nikola Tesla boss and can be very useful against weaker enemies. If used with another player trying out the Werewolf class, you can synergize and plan the run together. Overall, it’s best used with a team.

With that done, here’s what you need to know about the Necromancer class that can reanimate enemies and the location of the horse cart which can be attached to a horse for extra storage and more.
