Easter Eggs have always been a great catch point to attract numerous fans of various games. Cyberpunk 2077 has several Easter Eggs with references and nods to various games from CD Projekt Red and other developers too. You can come across these Easter Eggs while exploring the streets of Night City. In this guide, we have listed all the Easter Eggs that are known and confirmed until now. So, without any further, let’s begin with our Cyberpunk 2077 Easter Eggs list.
Cyberpunk 2077 Easter Eggs List
Cyberpunk 2077 has not even released yet, and fans have already caught up on several references. This list contains a total of nine Easter Eggs in Cyberpunk 2077 that are confirmed at the time of writing this guide. Here’s the list of the Easter Eggs.

- Keanu Reeves vs. Johnny Silverhand
- E3 2019 Trailer’s Junkyard Ending
- The Black Unicorn
- Aerondight Sword
- Photo Mode Pose References
- Radiohead Tattoo
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Cover
- Room No. 237 From The Shining

- Mortal Kombat Scorpion Easter Egg
Mike Pondsmith, the Cyberpunk DJ
Cyberpunk 2077 has amazingly beautiful audio. You will be hearing several soundtracks on different radio stations specifically developed for the game. The radio stations are filled with tracks across various genres, but the reference here is not about the tracks but about the DJ of one of these stations: Mike Pondsmith.
Mike is one of the developers of Cyberpunk IP, and he has given the voice as a DJ for one of the radio stations in Cyberpunk 2077.
Keanu Reeves and Johnny Silverhand
Keanu Reeves, the Canadian actor who is the voice behind Johnny Silverhand is also one of the Easter Eggs in Cyberpunk 2077. The reference of the actor is in a song featured in the game. Keanu’s name is in the lyrics of the song created by Run the Jewels, and the lyrics go like this, “Keanu Reeves – Cyber arm under my sleeve.”
The developers say that Keanu is not only the voice for Johnny Silverhand, but also is a character who does exist in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. According to them, Keanu is an actor from the late ’90s in the game who resembles Johnny Silverhand. He is also mistaken to be Silverhand on numerous occasions. However, since he is an actor from the late ’90s, you won’t be able to see him and Silverhand sharing the frames in Cyberpunk 2077.
E3 2019 Trailer’s Junkyard Ending
Remember the junkyard ending from E3 2019’s trailer? That was when we first met Keanu Reeves as none other than Johnny Silverhand. Well, the CD Projekt Red team has blended this in a funny way to make it a sort of Easter Egg.
The thing is that Cyberpunk 2077 releases on December 10th, 2020. However, there are players who have pre-ordered the game and are trying to sneak in by hitting the play button before the said date. But when the players do this, they are shown a screen that features the location of the junkyard ending. However, instead of the line “Wake the f#$% up, Samurai. We have a city to burn” from the trailer, the line reads, “Go back to sleep, Samurai. It’s not December 10th yet!”
The Black Unicorn
There are several Easter Eggs in Cyberpunk 2077 that have references to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, one of them is the Black Unicorn. It is a special steel sword from The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3. You can find this sword in Cyberpunk 2077 as a katana. The Black Unicorn katana is free for grab on GOG, the preferred distribution platform by the developers.
Rayfield Aerondight
Another Easter Egg from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the Rayfield Aerondight. The Rayfield Aerondight is a vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077 that is supposedly named after the Aerondight Sword from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The sword has appeared in the Blood and Wild expansion.
Photo Mode Pose References
The recently released photo mode trailer of Cyberpunk 2077 features a few pose Easter Eggs. It includes some famous poses that V can do while in the photo mode. The trailer only showed a few of the many poses, but still, it has a few nods from other games. These popular reference poses include Sailor Moon, Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure, and more.
Radiohead Tattoo
The Night City is flooded with several gangs on the streets. Judy Alvarez, the leader of one of these gangs called The Mox, is very fond of tattoos. She has carved several tattoos on her hand, one of which refers to Radiohead, the famous British band. If we talk about specifics, it refers to their song named Pyramid. She has some of the lyrics of this song tattooed on her left hand.
The Witcher 3 Easter Egg: Wild Hunt Cover
Another one of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Easter Eggs in Cyberpunk 2077. You will find this Easter Egg only if you choose the Corpo lifepath in Cyberpunk 2077. As a Corpo V, you will start your journey as an operative of the mainstream corporation firm Arasaka.
One of the optional things that you can do as Corpo V is to visit V’s shared office and explore the desk drawers. In one of the drawers, you will find a magazine whose cover features the game of the month, which you might have correctly guessed, is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Room No. 237 From The Shining
If you have played the game The Shining, you might remember the famous Room 237. This is the room where the main character from The Shining finds a naked woman dead in the bathtub. Now, if you see the E3 2018 gameplay video of Cyberpunk 2077, the first room V enters is Room 1237. The Easter Egg here is that the lead character V too finds a naked woman dead in a bathtub. This Cyberpunk 2077 is not certain yet as the numbers are not exactly similar, but there can be a possibility of a nod here.
Hideo Kojima
You can find Hideo Kojima the head of Kojima Productions in the form of one of the Easter Eggs in Cyberpunk 2077. You will walk into him during a mission titled “The Heist.” However, if you can’t wait until the mission, head to the Arasaka Waterfront area inside the Konpeki Plaza Bar to find Hideo Kojima. You will find him sitting with a bunch of other NPCs and interacting with them in Japanese.
The Office Heart Surgeon Reference
The Brain Surgeon that you meet in Cyberpunk 2077 has a peculiar dialogue line where he says things incredibly similar to The Office’s Hide who works with Daryll in the warehouse. The story is eerily similar and along the same lines that Hide says recounting how he escaped Japan to save himself from the wrath of Yakuza.
Mortal Kombat Scorpion Easter Egg
To find the Scorpion Easter eggs in Cyberpunk 2077 you have to complete the side job named Fly Me Away. You will obtain the Scorpion action figure as a reward for completing this quest and V can keep it in the apartment. When you talk to Mitch in the Outskirts, he will tell you about this job. You need to simply follow it to get this Mortal Kombat Easter egg in Cp2077.
That’s the end of the Cyberpunk 2077 Easter Eggs list. However, there might be many more Easter Eggs that we will come across as the game releases and we start exploring every bit of it. There are several questions speculating in the minds of fans such as can you join a gang, buy houses, or change lifepaths in Cyberpunk 2077. You can refer to our Cyberpunk 2077 Wiki to find out the answers to all the questions.
