Forza Horizon 5 (FH5) Convoy Disappearing Fix
As of now, there are three main ways to fix Convoy Disappearing in Forza Horizon 5 (FH5):
- Drive a bit far away from other convoy members’ locations
- Go to the “Horizon Festival” location
- Start the “Horizon Solo”, then rejoin the convoy
A hotfix from Playground games was supposed to fix these issues long back, but many players are still facing this issue till today. So till we get a proper patch or hotfix, let’s look at the workarounds in a bit more detail.
Drive a Bit Far Away From Other Convoy Members’ Locations
It is quite common now to see your convoy members disappearing from your mini-map and from the screen in the FH5 convoy. This can affect you even if you are the convoy leader or one of the members. So the best quick way to fix is to keep driving further away from other members and eventually they will pop back to the map. This is pretty annoying considering the main idea of a convoy is to play together in the game. And due to this Forza Horizon 5 Convoy Disappearing error, we are not able to pinpoint the real issue behind this, but following this method has always worked for us. But it can happen too often, and we eventually stopped caring about it. Then once the leader starts an event, we all play together, then the race is over, we all exited together. Go to the “Horizon Festival” Location to Fix Convoy Disappearing in Forza Horizon 5 (FH5)
If running around and driving away is not in your interest there is a quick way to fix this. The idea is to bring up the pause menu and travel to the “Horizon Festival” site. After the loading screen, you will pop back into the map with others in your convoy. But this will only benefit you if you are playing in an Xbox Series X/S or a PC with SSD. Cause load times for FH5 on HDD can take long. So you are better off using the above-mentioned step rather than going to the Festival location every time.
Start the “Horizon Solo”, Then Rejoin the Convoy
Another fix for Convoy Disappearing in Forza Horizon 5 (FH5), is to bring up the pause menu, click on “Horizon Solo”, then join back the online mode. This will only help if the convoy members are on your friend’s list. This is because when you click on Horizon Online, the game gives you a prompt saying something similar to “your friend (friend name) is online, do you want to join their convoy?”. Hitting Yes here will take you back to the convoy. And to make sure you are the leader all the time, ask your convoy members to join you when this error occurs. Then they all will leave the game and join you back, making you the convoy leader, all the time.
