How to Claim Regions in Manor Lords

To claim a region, you either need Influence or King’s Favor. However, it should be noted that King’s Favor is a feature that hasn’t been implemented in the Early Access phase. Luckily, you can use Influence to get the job done. In case you don’t know, Influence is a type of currency that can be gained by doing certain things for your people. For example, you can build Burgage Plots and Churches, Enact Tithes, Destroy Bandit Camps, etc. to gain more Influence.

Once you have accumulated Influence, zoom out to the region view and click on a area that is not controlled by you. Then, click on the “Claim by Influence” button at the bottom.

You will need 1000 Influence to claim a region in Manor Lord, provided it is uncontrolled. If you want to claim your rival Lord’s region then you will have to pay 2000 Influence. If you are going after the latter, be ready for a possible battle. Because once you claim an enemy territory, a progression bar will slowly begin to fill up. In the meantime, the AI enemy will try to cancel out your ownership by attacking you. So to ensure a successful claim, you must defeat them and let the progression bar fill up completely.

After getting control of your new region, you can build a Settler’s Camp in the area to help new families settle down. You can donate money from your Treasury so that starting resources in the new territory can be decided. Slowly but steadily, you can make it feel like a new home for your people.
