Unlike Growth and Conquest, Domination in Manor Lords is a type of End Goal that requires an aggressive approach. If you have selected this to be your goal during Game Setup then your winning condition becomes conquering every other Lord on the map. But that’s only going to happen if you make your defenses impenetrable and become the strongest in terms of Military power.
If you know the game in and out, you won’t face any difficulty in imposing your authority over your rivals. However, a majority of players still find it confusing to figure out the mechanics. If that’s the issue in your case too, here’s a guide that can help you win a Domination Victory in Manor Lords.
Note: You need to set the Off Map Adversary option to Present in order to achieve the aforementioned End Goal.
How to Complete Domination End Goal in Manor Lords
To win a session by Domination in Manor Lords, you have to eliminate all other Lords by conquering their territories. To do so, you will have to create an Army that doesn’t know defeat. Below we have mentioned a few ways to make such a strong force:
Equip Good Quality Armors
It’s clear as day that an advanced Town is most likely to stand tall in Manor Lords. I am saying this because a level 3 Burgage Plot grants you access to the Armorer’s Workshop Extension. From there, you can manage to craft advanced Armor for your Army. This will increase their survivability and increase their chances of winning a battle.
One more thing, crafting most Armor at Armorer’s Workshop requires you to have specific Developments. For example, you will need Advanced or Master Armormaking Developments for crafting Armor like Mail and Plate Armor. Due to any reason, if you are not able to craft an Armor, you can import it using the Trading Post.
Make your Unit Wisely
One important aspect of the Battle is choosing what Unit to send to capture other territories. As far as our knowledge goes, you should first fill your Units with Militia. It is known that you can not recruit a Militia if you already have 6 Units. As a solution to this issue, you should add them beforehand so you can bypass the maximum limit. Later, you can recruit Retinue and Mercenaries to aid you in battle as well.
Give No Time to Rivals
Just like you are upgrading your Town minute by minute, your opponent is doing the same. So at any point, if you think you are ready for battle, just go and flank over the enemy territory. If your gut feeling is right, you will be able to defeat your rival Lord with ease.
Save Up Influence for Claimed Regions
Aside from spending your Influence on claiming Neutral (or uncontrolled) territories, you can save up and spend it on Claimed territories. Claiming a Neutral spot costs 1000 Influence while a Claimed spot will cost you 2000 Influence. So you can wait for a while and gather plenty of Influence for spending on a rival Lord’s territory.
Once you claim an enemy territory by Influence, a progress bar will begin to fill up. In the meantime, other rulers may try to contest you in a battle. You have to defeat them in order to claim that land.
