Playing the game before everyone else is not the only benefit that you get while pre-ordering FF16. Square Enix has also added several pre-order bonuses to entice fans further. There are three DLC items that you can claim which also include an Ancient sword. But many players don’t know how to redeem these items in the game. You will be to redeem Pre-Order Bonuses & DLC Items in Final Fantasy 16 only if you have purchased the game before its release date. As FF16 is already out, the Pre-order window is closed. So, if you didn’t buy the game before its release date, you won’t be able to claim the Pre-order.

In case you bought FF16 before it came out, then you will have to complete the full demo before the DLC items become available. It will take you around two hours to complete the Prologue. Once done, here is what you will need to do to claim the DLC items and Pre-order bonuses in Final Fantasy 16:

  1. Press the “Options” on your PS5 controller to open up the Menu.
  2. Now, press the “R2” button to navigate to the “System” tab.
  3. Once here, you will have to press the “R1” button to move to the “Redeemable Items” submenu.
  4. Finally, you can hover around each DLC item and press the “X” button to claim them.

What Are the FF16 Pre-Order Bonuses?

There were three editions of Final Fantasy 16 available to pre-order – Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition. No matter which edition you might have purchased, you will get the same three DLC items:
