How to Use Map in Manor Lords
You can access the Map in Manor Lords by pressing the “M” key or scrolling down the mouse wheel. Also, you can take a closer look at your town or any other region by scrolling up to the extreme. Anyway, once you are on the Map, you can clearly see boundaries separating several territories. The red-colored region displays the territory controlled by you. On the other hand, the territory highlighted in Yellow is your enemy’s. And the one that has no color is neutral, which means you can claim it using Influence.
Aside from different regions, the Map in Manor Lords also shows icons for different places. You can hover your cursor on the icon and see what they represent. This includes the location of Bandit Camps, Food Items, Mercenaries (if recruited), etc.
How to Use Overlay in Manor Lords
Overlay in Manor Lords is a special menu that can help you tons while building a town strategically. You can access the Overlay tab by simply entering the Construction mode. When accessed, you will then see a whole list of Overlays on the right side.
Overlay helps you find a suitable place for placing your Wells and Planting Crops. By clicking on the Underground Water option in Overlay, you can see lands that have water beneath it. Plus, by clicking on a particular crop, you can see the most fertile land for planting it. Land highlighted in green means perfectly fertile, yellow means moderately fertile, and red means very less fertile.
