Splatoon 3 is a Third-Person Shooter game created by Nintendo. In the Competitive Multiplayer game mode, Turf Wars, all players duke it out while wielding a Weapon. But Turf Wars are not the only game mode you can compete in. In most cases, your Weapon is not enough. You will need to use your Gears as well. Gear in this game can have abilities that help you augment your Weapons in a Match. You can have multiple sets of Gear to change up your Weapon Build. In this guide, I will show you how to Change Your Gear in Splatoon 3.

How to Change Your Gear in Splatoon 3

Your Gear in Splatoon 3 is a combination of Headgear, Clothes, & Shoes that your character wears. They are highly fashionable and have a dual purpose of having Abilities. These Abilities help you in Battles & more or less make your Build. Having multiple sets of Gear will help you have an edge over your opponents in Turf Wars as well as make you fashionable. Here is how you can change your Gear in Splatoon 3.

  • On your Nintendo Switch, Press the + Button to open up the Equip Menu.
  • Once the Equip Menu has opened up, click on Category.
  • Now you can browse through your Gear from the Headgear, Clothes, & Shoes Tabs & choose your set for Battle or Fashion.

There are many Stores in the game that sells Gear, check them out to get the Gear piece you want. You can get abilities on them that can aid you in battle. If you don’t like the Abilities you have on a certain piece then you can Transmog your Gear in Splatoon 3. Amiibos are a great way of getting Gear and you should use them if you have any.
