How To Change Clothes In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you start as a student at a Pokemon Academy, unlike its predecessors. This is a whole new fresh take on the series. On this journey through the vast Paldea region, you get the option to change your appearance. Unlike its previous installments where you have to be at a specific place, you can change outfits in this game at any time. In this article, we will tell you how to change clothes in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

How to Change Clothes in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you can change clothes by simply pressing left on D-pad. This will open up a menu where you can change your outfit with items you bought throughout the game. However, this option won’t be available if you are new to the game. You will have to progress in the ‘First Day of School’ quest to unlock it. Once you do, you will get the option to change into four standard outfits. These are preset uniforms based on each season like:

  • Spring Uniform
  • Summer Uniform
  • Autumn Uniform
  • Winter Uniform

As you progress further into the game, you can buy new pieces of clothing to change your outfit in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Where to Buy New Clothes

Big Cities like Mesagoza, Cascarrafa, and Levincia have multiple clothing stores. You can visit these stores to buy new pieces of clothing and accessories. These shops will be indicated with a T-shirt icon on the map. Although each shop will sell a different piece of clothing. So you will have to explore every shop to complete your outfit. Fortunately, the clothing items are displayed on the window. So, you don’t have to worry about entering every store. Once, you have bought the accessories, they all go to your clothing menu. Then you can change the outfit any time you want. Also, if you want to remove a piece of accessory, then pressing ‘X’ on it will do the trick.
