Far Cry has been known for its amazing animal mechanics and like from other titles, Far Cry 6 has companions in the form of Amigos. The Amigos consists of various creatures, from a cuddly and cute dog to a beast that looks like the Terminator. Each of them has different perks and uses they will help you at every step of the way. In this guide, I will explain how to change an Amigo in Far Cry 6.
How to Change Amigo in Far Cry 6
In Far Cry 6, there are 7 Amigos. Their names are Boom Boom, Champagne, Chicharrón, Chorizo, Guapo, K-9000, and Oluso. Each has a specific role in your missions like Guapo is a powerhouse and is well suited for combat while Oluso is a master of shadows. To make use of their strengths will have to change the Amigo we have.
This is possible by going into your Settings Menu. In Settings, there will be an Amigo tab, Click on it. This will open up a screen of all the Amigos in Far Cry 6. Now you will have to just hover over the Amigo you want and Summon one of them. When you are hovering over the Amigo of choice, a prompt will be shown. This will tell you what button you will have to press to Summon them. Also, be careful as after you summon one of them you will have to wait for a while before you can summon another one.
When to use an Amigo?
No two situations in Far Cry 6 are the same. Sometimes you need to be stealthy and quiet, lurking in shadows; and then there are times to jump in guns blazing. Guapo is a beast in combat as his abilities let him tank damage and help him sustain in battle. Chorizo is not fit for battle but is equally as valuable, with his cuteness he can distract enemies while you can take the killing shot. Chicharrón is rooster with no chill. He will get all up in your face and make you remember your maker. He will make sure that your enemies will end up in a KFC Bucket. Boom Boom is a fierce attacker but that’s not his strong suit. He will retrieve resources from nearby dead enemy bodies.
Oluso is your stealth attacker that will strike at your enemies from the shadows. She is your best Amigo for Stealth missions. K-9000 is the Amigo you want when you need to Tag enemy tech. With his iron body, he takes less bullet damage and resists fire & poison damage. And finally, we have Champagne, she is another fighter type Amigo but she can collect more money from dead enemy bodies. This will come in handy when you need to save up for an item.
How to Customize Amigos and change Appearance?
Once you do get an Amigo, you will be able to customize them. To do so, you will need to go to the Amigos Tab in the Settings Menu. From there, select the Amigo you want to customize. As you are hovering over the Amigo, you will be given two options, either Summon or Details. Press the Details button and all the information of the Amigo will be shown. Below all of that, there will be an Eye Symbol. Upon clicking, it will open up a page that lets you change the appearance of your Amigo. This is how you can pimp out your Amigo to look fly for any occasion, even if you are killing your enemies.
