Season of Mischief has started in Pokemon GO, and with the new season comes Hoopa! That’s right our favorite Mythical Pokemon is here. For those who don’t know Hoopa is a Psychic/Ghost Pokemon introduced in gen 6. Hoopa has two forms Hoopa Confined and Hoopa Unbound.
It is one of the three Mythical Pokemon, the other two are Diancie and Volcanion. The form you will receive after completing the tasks is Hoopa Confined. So without further ado, let’s check out how to catch Hoopa in Pokemon GO and the research tasks.
How to Get Hoopa in Pokemon GO
You can get Hoopa through the Misunderstood Mischief research. This Research event will span from 1st September 2021 to 1st December 2021 and it will be a 16 Stage research. You can get Hoopa by completing the first 3 stages of this research event. Let’s take a look at the tasks you will need to complete to get Hoopa.
- Stage 1
- Make 10 Nice Throws: 1 Incense
- Use an Incense: 10 Poké Balls
- Take 3 Snapshots of wild Psychic-type Pokémon: 10 Nanab Berry
- Rewards: 500 Stardust, 1,000 XP, and a Gothita encounter
- Stage 2
- Claim: 720 Stardust
- Reward: 720 XP
- Stage 3
- Make 5 Curveball Throws: 15 Poké Balls
- Catch 10 different species of Pokémon: 5 Great Balls
- Earn 5,000 Stardust: 3 Max Revives
- Rewards: 500 Stardust, 1,000 XP, and Hoopa encounter
Once you have completed the above 3 Stages and all of the tasks in them, you will get an encounter with Hoopa. Catch the Pokemon and you will have Hoopa. This is Hoopa Confined, chances are you might get Hoopa Unbound when more Stages and their rewards are unveiled.
