Black Salt Games, a small New Zealand based indie game studio brings gamers Dredge, a charming fishing simulator with dark secrets hiding below the waves. Players can sail their Fishing Boat on the open seas while catching fish to sell to the residents of the surrounding islands. Catching Crabs is one way to make money in Dredge and players will require some specific items to do so. Let’s look at how to catch crabs in Dredge.
How to Catch Crabs in Dredge
Players will have to use a Crab Pot to catch and collect crabs from the sea in Dredge. The Crab Pot can be found in the town of Greater Marrows. Make your way to the Fishmonger, he will give you a Crab Pot for free. Before that, you’ll have to complete a few quests for him.
Players will need to catch a Grey Eel and a Squid for the Fishmonger after which he will ask you to get him some Crabs. With the Crab Pot, you can now catch Common and Fiddler Crabs that inhabit the waters of The Marrow. Since each Crab Pot catches 1-2 Crabs, Dredge players can buy more pots from the Fishmonger for $100 each.
With your Crab Pots on board make your way to the spots on the sea you wish to hunt Crabs from. Equip the Crab Pot and drop it into the sea. The spot will be marked with a green light to help you remember the location. Players will have to wait for a minimum of 2 in-game days before they can retrieve the Crab Pots from their spots. If you return to find the pot empty, drop it back into the sea and come back the next day. Once the pot is filled with crabs you can store them on the ship to use or sell them to the Fishmonger
