Canning in Sims 4 Cottage Living

Sims 4 Canning

You can make Canned Foods in Sims 4 Cottage Living by selecting the canning option from any stovetop or oven. Sims can then prepare any of the available recipes. But, if your Sim has the Simple Living lot trait, he or she can only cook with the things in their inventory. Simple Living lot necessitates the preparation of every cuisine using only ingredients found in a household’s inventory. Canning was introduced as a hobby to the cooking skill in The Sims 4: Cottage Living. Sims may gather and cultivate a variety of products, such as fruit, vegetables, eggs, and mushrooms, to store in glass jars. Canning is done using a canning station in The Sims and The Sims 3, while this has been replaced by Stoves in Sims 4.

You’ll need certain supplies for canning before you dive into the realm of food canning. First and foremost, make sure you have a variety of food items in your Sims’ inventory. There are currently a variety of options for obtaining these components, including harvesting fruit and vegetables from the wild and your own garden. The other way is by buying fruits and veggies from Finchwick’s Flower and Grocery Stall. You can also order groceries using the Order Delivery function via your cellphone, computer, or even from your refrigerator.

Canned Foods be preserved far longer than other foods. When you have harvested lots of veggies or fruit from your garden, can you also preserve them as Canned Food for much longer than any other food item. Your Sims can consume, carry with you into a picnic, or sell them to the local Shops in Finchwick from their inventory. You can also gift them to other Sims depending upon their likes & dislikes. Some Sims are lactose intolerant so make sure you avoid giving them any of those canned foods too. Except for chocolate syrup and custard, everything is lactose-free.
