Call of Duty, one of the most popular games of all time is not available on the Nintendo Switch. But there is a chance that it might change. We are already aware of Microsoft’s plans for bringing CoD to Nintendo. And Brad Smith’s latest Tweet will bring up the hopes of many Nintendo fans. So here is what you should know about Call of Duty coming to the Switch.
When will Call of Duty Come to Switch?
Brad Smith the Vice Chairman and President of Microsoft has confirmed that Call of Duty is coming to Nintendo. In his recent tweet, he posted a picture, about a “10-year legal agreement to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo players – the same day as Xbox, with full feature and content parity.” So far games like Modern Warfare 2 were only available on PlayStation and Xbox for consoles and on PC.

But soon this will change and Nintendo players will be able to enjoy other CoD games as well. The catch here is they haven’t revealed any official release date, or which CoD title will be coming to Nintendo. This might not be as big of a surprise because Phil Spencer the Head of Xbox, did mention the plans of bringing CoD to Nintendo in a similar Tweet before.
Another thing to note here is that, the Tweet doesn’t talk anything about the Nintendo Switch. So there is a possibility that Call of Duty might be coming to Nintendo, but it skips the Switch altogether and releases on whichever the upcoming console from Nintendo is. But these are all just speculations as we don’t know when Nintendo plans on releasing a new console. So as of now, there is no release date for any CoD game for Switch.
Are Xbox Games coming to Nintendo?
Yes, his tweet says Xbox games and Activision titles like Call of Duty. So there is a lot of room for speculation, for example seeing games like Psychonauts 2, High on Life, or more on the Switch. But just like Call of Duty, there is currently no official list available of which Xbox titles will be coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Can you Play Call of Duty on Switch?
No, you currently cannot play any Call of Duty games on Switch. So not only are games like Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone 2 not available. But you even cannot play CoD Mobile on your Switch.
That covers everything on when will Call of Duty come to Switch. Speaking of upcoming games you should also check out if Wind Waker is going to get a Switch port.
