Pokemon GO Bug Out Event 2022
The Bug Out Event is going to start on 10th August 2022 and will end on 16th August 2022. During this Ultra Unlock event, the trainers will get to catch new bug Pokemon that are making their debut in the game for the first time. And there are also going to be Mega Raids where you can get Mega Scizor, with the possibility of even encountering a shiny Mega Scizor. But even if you are not into bug Pokemon you still get a 2x bonus for catching Pokemon with nice, great, or successful throws. Here is everything that you can get during this event.
New Pokemon
- Grubbin
- Charjabug: Use 25 candies on a Grubbin to evolve it to Charjabug.
- Vikavolt: Collect 100 Grubbin candies and use them near an active Magnetic Lure Module on a Charjabug. This will evolve it into a Vikavolt.
Mega Scizor
- Encounter a Mega Scizor or a Shiny Mega Scizor in Mega Raids.
A bug-tastic Collection Challenge
- A new challenge that revolves around bug Pokemon will be introduced in this event. Completing it will give you 15000XP and the Bug Catcher Pose. In case you miss out on getting the pose from the event you can still buy it later after the event. You can find it in the in-game shop.
Ultra Unlock Event bonuses
- You can encounter Unown T or Shiny Unown T in Raid Battles.
- Pansage can now be encountered in the wild or in raids anywhere in the world during this event.
- Get Extra candies for every successful catch with nice, great or successful throws. Trainers above level 30 will also get Candy XL for catching Pokemon with these throwing methods.
Group Bonuses
When three or more trainers join an in-person Raid, it will spawn more of a Bug-type Pokémon for 15 the next minutes. This will take place in a 300-meter radius of the gym where the Raid took place. These are all the Pokemon that will spawn in larger numbers for that day.
