How to Destroy Yellow Cracks in GOW Ragnarok
You may have already tried attacking the yellow cracks with your weapons but to no avail. The trick is to actually use the Draupnir spear which you get further ahead in the game. Specifically, you need to complete the quest named Forging Destiny.
Once you unlock it and find a yellow crack in the rocks, aim the equipped spear and throw it at the crack. Next, you will have to detonate it by pressing Triangle.
How to Destroy Yellow Crystals
You may try to attack these crystal blockades with your Leviathan Axe or Blades or Chaos, but nothing will work. That’s because you need to explode them with the help of Explosive Pots. Find a pot with fire on top of it near the barricade and attack it with your weapon (throw your axe at it). Be sure to stay away from the area because you will unnecessarily take damage. Once the pot explodes, the blockade will clear up and you can go on ahead.

If there’s no pot available nearby, there’s a chance that there will be a fire bomb available. It will be kept on top of a grey pot in the area. Approach one, pick it up, and throw it at the yellow crystal blockade in GOW Ragnarok.
