Runes is a part and parcel of an Elden Ring Playthrough. You will need to have a lot of it to get some of the most expensive items like Spells, Weapons, Armor, Cookbooks, etc. Now you can grind through the game normally and get Runes but that will only give you so much of it and you will spend too much time. In this guide, I will show you the location of the Bird Rune Farm in Elden Ring.
Bird Rune Farm Location in Elden Ring
The location for the Bird Rune Farm is at Mohgwyn Palace in Elden Ring. There is only one way to get there and you can not walk to it. At the start of the Game, you would have spoken to an NPC, White-Faced Varré. After you speak to him, he will move from there and is now found in the Rose Church, south of Raya Lucaria Academy in Liurnia. Go there and he will be standing at the entrance of the Church. Talk to him and answer all of his questions with yes. He will then give you some Festering Bloody Finger. With these Festering Bloody Fingers, attempt at least three invasions. You don’t have to win them but you must initiate the 3. After doing the invasions, you must go back to Rose Church and talk to White-Faced Varré again.
He will be pleased by you and will hand over a Lord of Blood’s Favor. It is a Cloth that you must soak in Maiden’s Blood. To do this, you can go to the Church of Inhibition and interact with the Maiden there. After you soak the cloth, go back to White-Faced Varré and now talk to him. He will then give you a Pureblood Knight’s Medal. Use the Medal immediately and you will be teleported to Mohgwyn Palace. Now just run around the Edge of the Map Clockwise till you get to the Southside and find a Site of Grace.
And that’s pretty much it. Across the Cliff, you will find a Giant Bird-like Monster. Shoot it once with a Bow or with a Spell and it will aggro towards you. there is a Chasm between you and the Bird and it cannot fly. So it will fall and you will get roughly 13K Runes for it. Reset by going to the Grace and repeating the process. If you want you can also kill the nearby Enemies to gain a lot of Runes too.
