You can get upgrade points as you level up your character in the game. This happens in a natural progression as you discover new maps and beat various enemies in the game. Constantly doing so will increase your XP which in turn will boost the number of upgrade points you earn.

Once you have a good amount of upgrade points you can use them to increase and enhance your character’s Wung Fu. You can do this via the main build. In fact, pretty early on in the game, you will be able to max out the Wung Fu stats. Doing so helps unlock various weapon mastery techniques too.

You can also use these upgrade points to upgrade your character perks. With Perks, you are able to make your own character build. This allows you to get various character buffs that are helpful to gameplay.
