Consent is a very big thing for each and every character but at least Baldur’s Gate 3 ventures into this part of a relationship.

While there are quite a few BG3 companions who are portray polyamory relations, do remember that consent is very important. Characters like Halsin, Astarion, Shadowheart, and Karlach accept a polyamorous relationship.

Act 1 is the most acceptable stage for polyamorous relationships and things will change going forward. For instance, if you have been in a polyamorous relationship with Astarion and Karlach, Astarion will tell the player to choose between him and Karlach in Act 2. Since he doesn’t think it is fair to Karlach to share after she gains the ability to touch people without burning them, players won’t have the consent for a polyamorous relationship anymore.

In Act 3, players will be able to have a polyamorous relationship with characters such as Halsin, and the Drow Twins. Once again, consent is extremely vital for the player and their partner to agree to this. Additionally, players can also have polyamory with Mizora and the Emperor.

While the only BG3 companions who are open to polyamory with Mizora are Astarion and Shadowheart, none of the react to the players relationship with the Emperor.
